David Larsen Makes Statement On Immigration

OLDWICK, NJ - David Larsen expressed his opinion on immigration today, calling for increased scrutiny of immigrants to the U.S. "This is a land of immigrants," stated David Larsen, "as evidenced by my grandparents coming here from Norway, but this is a land that should only welcome legal immigrants."

"We need to enforce the immigration laws that we currently have on the books," Larsen went on to say, "if we don't want more terrorist attacks like the one in San Bernadino, California to occur."

Donald Trump and Ted Cruz have brought a lot of attention to the subject of immigration lately, and whether or not you agree with their suggestions, everyone should agree that immigration is a topic that needs to be discussed and addressed. "We need to stop the Obama Administration from fundamentally transforming this country into one that we do not recognize." Larsen explained.

President Obama's administration has allowed thousands of Syrian refugees to come to this country, with little or no vetting, with many being settled in NJ, as close as Metuchen. Obama also outlined a goal of bringing 10,000 more Syrian refugees to the U.S. during the 2015-2016 timeframe.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va) said last November: "It's hypocritical for Obama Administration officials to threaten enforcement action against states when they refuse to enforce the vast majority of our immigration laws, such as cracking down on sanctuary cities that openly defy federal law and endanger the American people." Goodlatte also said: "The American people are rightly concerned about admitting Syrian refugees and the impact it would have on the safety of their families and neighbors." Larsen agreed saying: "The safety of the American public is at stake, so that's why we need to figure out a way to solve the immigration problem."

Larsen will discuss immigration and other issues at upcoming Town Hall meetings in Flemington, NJ on April 20, and in Montgomery, NJ on April 27. for further details, or for more information about David Larsen, please kindly go to the web site WhoIsDavidLarsen.com
