It's certainly a good thing to receive ringing endorsements from Conservative groups here in New Jersey and around the nation, but an even better thing when the endorsement comes from the Grassroots. The following letter-to-the-editor was recently published on the webpages of DailyRecord.com and perfectly captures the mood of the Republican electorate in the 7th Congressional District.
The majority of jobs created in America today come from small business entrepreneurs, but these small businesses remain suffocated by the burdens of taxes, regulations, and a lack of commercial lending.
Under the Obama Administration there has been a concerted effort to attack American industry. Every major corporation, from Boeing to Intel to Gibson Guitar to oil companies to Amish farmers and the health care sector as a whole has been harassed by Obama czars, the Justice Department and other federal agencies.
Unfortunately, Barack Obama has been successful garnering support for these job-killing policies from a few Republican Congressmen such as Leonard Lance, who supported a devastating tax hike and a mountain of regulation to New Jersey businesses when he voted for cap and trade and to raise the debt ceiling. The single biggest suppressant of job creation in America today is the specter of Obama-care and its multitude of new mandates and burdens placed on employers large and small.
With small businesses not looking to hire new workers and potential health-care cost skyrocketing, 2012 looms as America’s most defining election in modern history. Not only do we have the opportunity to elect a new president, it’s imperative that we elect a congressman who will vote to reverse Obamacare and spur job growth.
Conservative Republican David Larsen, challenging incumbent Congressman Leonard Lance in the newly formed 7th District, will not vote to sustain Obamacare. Larsen, business owner and entrepreneur, wants to clear the way for all Americans to realize their dream of business entrepreneurship.
So, if you’re concerned about the burdens placed on your business by the Obama White House and the negative effects of Obamacare, vote Davis Larsen for Congress in the primary on June 5th.
As a 45-year resident of Somerset County, mother of four and grandmother of five, I couldn’t be more concerned than I am this year with not only the presidential election in November but our primary for the 7th District in New Jersey.
I am proud to support Dave Larsen, a truly fiscal conservative who is a strong pro-life candidate, not a moderate like Lance, a gentleman that would bring fresh blood in Washington with his strong values and beliefs and does not support Cap and Trade.
This is not another primary to elect a “good old boy Republican” who is supported by the elite Republicans in the state. We need a change and Larsen is that man.
I am totally and with all my efforts supporting this gentlemen and I ask you to join me in sending a new, energetic, hard-working, true conservative to Washington.
